Laser Cutting & Forming of a Stainless Steel Brazing Rack for the Welding Industry

WickFab was contracted by a customer in the welding industry to manufacture the brazing rack highlighted below, used in industrial welding applications. State of the art equipment including a Mitsubishi ML 3015 LVP 4000 Watt CO2 laser cutter, and an LVD 240 ton hydraulic press break were employed to cut and form 304 stainless steel to the specified proportions. The final profile was created with certified welding techniques, and a deburring process was applied for final cleaning. A tight tolerance of ± 0.010" was maintained during production. Final dimensions of the rack were 13 - 5/8" in length, 11" in width, and a height of 2 - 3/8". The unit has a 2B finish and was fully dimensionally and visually inspected to ensure accuracy and integrity.

This brazing rack was completed within 2 weeks and shipped to the customer in Angola, IN. The product and processes upheld our rigorous internal standards and met customer specifications.
